The process
-Find a quiet place. -Choose some music that you like to listen to. Opt for instrumental and slow rhythms, preferably without lyrics. (YouTube is full of such playlists). -Sit in a comfortable position. -Forget about chaotic thoughts and obligations for a few minutes and focus on the music. -Relax your body as much as you can. – Take deep breaths and exhale throughout the meditation, using your diaphragm. -When your thoughts seem to “escape”, try to shift your attention back to the music. The secret is to not be disappointed if you are overwhelmed by them. Especially if you are a beginner, this is natural.
