[/fusion_title][fusion_text] Κατά τη διάρκεια του 20ου αιώνα ο μέσος όρος ζωής αυξήθηκε σημαντικά. Σίγουρα έχεις ακούσει ότι η γυμναστική και η υγιεινή διατροφή παίζουν σημαντικό ρόλο στην μακροζωία. Όμως, υπάρχουν και κάποιες άλλες συνήθειες που ίσως δεν γνώριζες οι οποίες θα σε βοηθήσουν να φτάσεις (και να ξεπεράσεις!) τα 100!

Τρέχεις για 40 λεπτά κάθε μέρα

Ερευνητές στην Καλιφόρνια βρήκαν ότι οι μεσήλικες που έκαναν μόνο αυτό το είδος άσκησης είχαν συνολικά καλύτερη υγεία καθώς δεν προσβλήθηκαν από σοβαρές ασθένειες, όπως ο καρκίνος.

Δεν ξεχνάς να γυμνάζεις τα πόδια σου!

Τα δυνατά πόδια συνδέονται με καλύτερη ισορροπία και ευλυγισία άρα με μικρότερες πιθανότητες να πέσεις και να τραυματιστείς σε μεγαλύτερη ηλικία.

Έχεις επίπεδη κοιλιά κατά την εμμηνόπαυση

Αυτό ισχύει για τις γυναίκες, βεβαίως. Μετά την εμμηνόπαυση αρκετές γυναίκες δυσκολεύονται με το βάρος τους καθώς η αλλαγή στα επίπεδα των ορμονών προσθέτει λίπος γύρω από την κοιλιά.

Οι θερμίδες στην διατροφή σου κυμαίνονται ανάμεσα στις 1.400-2.000

Άλλη μία έρευνα έδειξε ότι όσοι κατανάλωναν τις παραπάνω θερμίδες είχαν πολύ καλή καρδιακή λειτουργία. Αυτό συνέβη γιατί η διατροφή τους δεν περιελάμβανε «κενές» θερμίδες (από γλυκά, αναψυκτικά κλπ) αλλά προϊόντα ολικής άλεσης, λαχανικά, γαλακτοκομικά με χαμηλά λιπαρά και άπαχα κρέατα.

Τόσο το πράσινο όσο και το μαύρο τσάι περιέχουν κατεχίνες, ουσίες που προστατεύουν την καρδιά. Μια «γερή» καρδιά μειώνει τις πιθανότητες καρδιοπαθειών και εγκεφαλικού, άρα αυξάνει τις πιθανότητες να ζήσεις περισσότερα χρόνια .

Σου αρέσει το μωβ χρώμα

Δεν εννοούμε γενικά, αλλά στις τροφές που καταναλώνεις.  Τα σταφύλια, τα μύρτιλλα και το κρασί (ναι!) που έχουν αυτό το πλούσιο, σκούρο μωβ χρώμα περιέχουν πολυφαινόλες που κάνουν καλό στις αρτηρίες της καρδιάς και προστατεύουν από την άνοια.

Σου αρέσει να κάνεις τις δουλειές του σπιτιού!

Σε μια έρευνα που έγινε σε άτομα που ήταν 70-80 ετών διαπιστώθηκε ότι όσοι έκαναν μόνοι τους τις δουλειές του σπιτιού κινούνταν, άρα έκαιγαν θερμίδες και είχαν 30% λιγότερες πιθανότητες να «φύγουν» πρόωρα.
