When your workplace problems seem endless and all at once you have to cope with your family obligations, anxiety overwhelms you. Generally, exercise may be the antidote to stress but this is not always the case. Maybe, these are the moments when you should “listen” to your body. Exercise puts even more pressure on the body and you may end up being “overloaded”. When stress overwhelms you, choose workouts with less intensity. Walking, running in the countryside and yoga are some preferred options.

You haven’t slept well

It is known that good sleep is one of the most important elements for someone who wants to improve their physical condition. However, not everyone thinks it’s necessary. It’s very simple: if you haven’t slept well, then you shouldn’t exercise! The main reason is that insufficient resting increases the chances of injury.

Not feeling good

It’s common sense… When you are not well, then it is best not to exercise. However, since some of us are more..fanatical than we should be, let’s clarify some things. A general rule of thumb is that when you feel pain above your throat, you can exercise. When you feel pain under your throat, it’s best to avoid exercising. In any case, exercise is forbidden when you have a fever.

Muscle discomfort

When your muscles ache after a high-intensity workout, your body “screams” for rest. By exercising under these conditions , you increase the chances of an injury. It is best to give your body time to heal its wounds. Otherwise, recovery time will be much longer in case of injury, as will your suffering.

If you have just achieved a great goal, such as completing a marathon, then rest should be your reward.
